Tours

We at Tanaka Farms want to educate children where fruits and vegetables come from, where and how they grow.  So back in 1998 we started our first Strawberry Tour. No where else in Orange County was there such a thing, let alone in Irvine!! To this day we have still run the Strawberry Tours (March-June) in the spring time, but we've also add Cookout Tours (March-August), Watermelon Tours (July-August), and Pumpkin Patch Tours (October). For more information about our tours read below or call (949) 653-2100 ext.204

Strawberry Tours (March - June)
This is a guided tractor pulled wagon tour around the farm. You will see how various fruits & vegetables grow, also sample some of the fruits & vegetables that are in season. Then you will go into the strawberry patch to pick & eat strawberries right from the vine, as well as pick yourself a one (1) pound basket to take home. For more information about the tour and how to make reservations click here, Strawberry Tour.

Cookout Tour (Open on weekends March - August)
This tours is a fun way to learn about the Tanaka Farms family and fresh fruits and vegetables. You will pick your own vegetables for your lunch. You'll then prep your own pick vegetables and get them grilled. After you've enjoyed your wonderful fresh picked grilled lunch, you'll go into the strawberry patch and pick your own sweet yummy dessert, strawberries!! For more information about the tour and how to make reservations click here, Cookout Tours.

Watermelon Tours (July - August)
This is a guided tractor pulled wagon tour around the farm. You will enjoy sampling various summer fruits & vegetables. But the highlight of this tour is the tasty Farmer Tanaka's famous "candy" sweet melons and to top it off you'll select your very own delicious melon to take home. For more information about the tour and how to make reservations click here, Watermelon Tour.

Pumpkin Patch Tours (October)
Tanaka Farms is the only working farm in Orange County that grows pumpkins for you to select that "PERFECT PUMPKIN". Customers can come to pick them right from the vine or select a pre-harvested pumpkin. Pumpkin Patch is a self guided tour. On the weekends there are Fall Harvest Festival Activities available. Come to Tanaka Farms for a wonderful outdoor family experience. For more information about the tour and how to make reservations click here, Pumpkin Patch Tour.

Christmas Trees (Not a tour - December)
We hope you enjoy the touring seasons, but now we turn to the winter holidays. We purchase our trees from smaller farms. Many times our trees are cut the same day that they are loaded for shipment. Our trees are delivered via refrigerated truck as opposed to open-air stake beds. Tanaka Farms has a satisfaction guarantee. We are not in this community just one month out of the year. We are here all year long and we want you to be happy. Even after all the freshest tree possible, sometimes you may come up with a dry tree before Christmas. Please come back and let us know so that somehow we can make it up to you. We definitely do not want to lose you as one of our valued customers.  For more information about our trees click here, Christmas Trees.
