Why do you charge to visit the farm?
It takes a lot of people to keep Tanaka Farms running! Our farm workers out in the fields, our customer service team in our Produce Market Stand, our friendly and knowledgeable Tour Guides, our delivery drivers, groundskeepers, and office staff.
Not to mention the everyday expenses needed to keep the gates open…water, electricity, rent, insurance, farm equipment, etc.
We know you expect a great experience when you come out to visit the farm. And we want to continue to be able to give you that experience. As one of Orange County’s last family owned farms open to the public, we hope to be Educating, Entertaining and Feeding Families for generations to come. Your support will allow us to do just that.
We feel a nominal entrance fee of $4* to visit the grounds, take photos on the tractors, let the kids use up a bit of energy in the play area, and visiting with our rescue flock of chickens is well worth it.
*We never charge to visit our Produce Market Stand.
