The Story of Hikari 光

“Hikari” means light in Japanese, and our festival is all about celebrating the warmth and brightness that the holiday season brings. What began as a small farm selling fresh Christmas trees has now grown into one of Orange County’s favorite holiday events, where families gather to create joyful memories. At Tanaka Farms, Hikari reflects our roots, our community, and our shared hope for a bright season ahead.

Good to know

Where do I buy tickets?

Admission tickets are available online in advance. Admission promos (Teachers, Healthcare Workers, First Responders and College Students) must be bought on-site at check-in with valid ID or other proof of eligibility.

Is there a parking fee?

Parking is $12 per vehicle and is required Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus our special holiday nights, December 21 – 23. Parking is available onsite.

What time should we arrive?

Hikari is open 5:00 – 9:00pm, Wednesday through Sunday, and last admission is at 7:30pm. Wagon rides run 5:30 – 8:00pm, so arrive early to see it all.

Are you open around Christmas?

Yes! We're open Monday – Wednesday, December 21 – 23, from 5:00 – 9:00pm. We're closed December 24 and 25.

Are Games Area activities included in admission?

Games Area activities like Tree Chop, Farmer Mini Golf and the Bee Train use activity tickets. Tickets are $3 each and sold in the Games Area until 8:00pm.

Is the farm stroller friendly?

Yes, our farm is stroller and family friendly.
