Field Trips & Group Reservations

Reservations for our Pumpkin Patch season are typically available from September 12 through October 30th.

Field trips are offered at the following start times:

9:30 AM • 10:00 AM • 10:30 AM • 11:00 AM • 11:30 AM • 12:00 PM • 12:30 PM • 1:00 PM • 1:30 PM • 2:00 PM • 2:30 PM • 3:00 PM • 3:30 PM

To provide the best experience for every group, we schedule up to four tractor rides per timeslot

Our Pumpkin Patch Field Trip is designed to last approximately 2 to 2½ hours.

Many groups choose to stay afterward and enjoy lunch in our picnic area.

Please plan to arrive at the time of your scheduled reservation.

Upon arrival you’ll:

● Check-in
● Receiving your group stickers
● Gathering under your assigned picnic tent

To help keep all field trips running on schedule, groups arriving early will be asked to remain in their assigned area until their reservation begins. Arriving earlier than your scheduled time will not allow you access to the activities on the itinerary until your scheduled time.

After checking in, our staff will guide your group to your assigned picnic tent

Your group will receive:

● A field trip itinerary
● A farm map
● Group identification stickers for students, teachers, and chaperones

Once everyone is ready, our staff will direct your group to begin the day's adventure.

Every Pumpkin Patch Field Trip includes:

🚜 A scenic tractor ride around the farm
🎃 One pumpkin for each paid pumpkin picker (up to 20 lbs.)
🥕 U-Pick seasonal vegetable experience
🌽 Corn Maze
🐐 Barnyard Exhibit

After the tractor ride, your group is welcome to explore the remaining activities at your own pace unless otherwise noted.

The tractor ride is the first scheduled activity for every field trip.

The ride lasts approximately 10–15 minutes and travels through the farm without stopping.

Beginning with the tractor ride helps us keep all reservations running smoothly throughout the day.

For two activities, yes.

Your entire group must remain together during:

● The tractor ride
● The U-Pick vegetable experience

The remainder of the visit is self-guided, allowing your group to explore the farm at your own pace.

Our friendly farm staff will be available throughout the farm if you need assistance

Absolutely!

Groups are welcome to enjoy lunch in our picnic area located near the tractor loading station.

Please remember:

● Lunches should be brought by your school or families.
● Keep all food sealed until lunchtime.
● Because we are a working farm, birds may be attracted to unattended food.

Each paid pumpkin picker receives one pumpkin included with admission.

Pumpkins should be:

● One per eligible guest
● Under 20 pounds
● Small enough for the individual to comfortably carry

Many groups enjoy stopping by our Market Stand before leaving the farm.

For everyone's safety and comfort, we ask that:

● Students are always accompanied by chaperones.
● Larger groups enter in smaller groups whenever possible.

This helps ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.

To help us verify pumpkins and thank you for visiting, we ask all groups to exit through the Market Stand.

Our greeters will help ensure:

● Pumpkin pickers receive one pumpkin.
● Teachers and eligible chaperones receive their included pumpkin.
● Oversized pumpkins are weighed before departure.

Restrooms are portable restrooms (porta-potties) conveniently located throughout the farm.

Please bring your own labeled refillable water bottles.

At this time, Tanaka Farms does not provide drinking water stations or water bottle refill stations.

✔ Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on dirt pathways.

✔ Bring sunscreen, hats, and refillable water bottles.

✔ Keep your group together during the tractor ride and U-Pick activity.

✔ Have students enter the Market Stand with adult supervision.

✔ Most importantly—relax, explore, and enjoy a day on the farm!
